“I had to put my money where my mouth is!” says one buyer

Cassandra Campbell

Businesswoman, Cassandra Campbell (pictured above), was looking for a property investment when an ad on Classic FM alerted her to The Residence, the luxury apartment scheme at SouthGate. As owner of Sustainability Plus, a consultancy that advises commercial developers on sustainable development, she had first-hand experience of developer, Multi Development and was aware of the emphasis they have on sustainable development.

“I live and work out of Malmesbury but I spend a lot of time in Bath so I know it well. I’d always hoped to be able to buy a property here.” says Cassandra.

“I am a huge fan of SouthGate, I think it’s a fantastic development, a really good landmark for Bath. So imagine my surprise when I heard the radio ad! I popped into the marketing suite straight away and arranged a viewing. I saw a number of different flats and was surprised by how individual they all are.

“In the end I fell in love with a one bedroom flat in Marchant House with great views and that was when I decided I’d better put my money where my mouth is!

“It’s beautifully finished to a really high specification with all the appliances being AA rated and highly energy efficient. From an investment perspective it’s perfect. It fits my own values and I’ve been able to rent it out immediately.

“Not only is the apartment a good size, which is rare for a city centre location, but it’s got great views and the communal gardens are great. I love that you’re just above the hub of Bath, I wish I’d been able to afford two apartments as would love my own bolt hole.”
